POND ETIQUETTE

The Ladies’ Pond is a very special place.  Please help to keep it that way by treating it, the lifeguards and your fellow swimmers with respect and courtesy at all times.  If you have a serious concern about behaviour please speak to the lifeguards.

ALCOHOL, DRUGS & SMOKING

Alcohol and drugs are forbidden at the pond, intoxicated swimmers are a risk to themselves and others.  Smoking is discouraged.

KEEP IT CLEAN

There are bins for recycling and rubbish. Please keep the meadows, changing rooms and toilets clean and tidy, do not discard toiletries, newspapers or personal possessions in the changing room.

CONSERVE WATER

Water is precious and we try not to waste it. Hot water is in limited supply, please don’t hog the showers or use more than you need to rinse off pond water.

LOST PROPERTY

Please take responsibility for bringing everything you need to the pond, looking after it and taking it away at the end of your visit.

KEEP NOISE DOWN

For many people – and the wildlife – the pond is a place of peace and tranquillity. Please use headphones and ‘silent’ settings and avoid using mobile phones on the meadows, swimming deck and changing rooms. The grassy bank behind the lifeguards’ office is designated as a quiet area.

NO PHOTOGRAPHY

The general rule is NO photography, to preserve the privacy of all users.  Photographs are allowed ONLY with written permission from the City of London and the KLPA.

THANK YOU & PLEASE ENJOY YOUR VISIT!
