The Kenwood Ladies’ Pond was first opened as a swimming place for women and girls in June 1926. To mark the centenary the KLPA has organised a number of celebratory events, produced a variety of merchandise and collaborated on a book Brave and Bold: 100 years of the Ladies’ Pond on Hampstead Heath (in all weathers) written by former Pond lifeguard Nell Frizzell. Members and non-members alike are invited to attend our art exhibition at Lauderdale House from 27 August – 21 September 2026.
